Goa is the perfect place to enjoy yourself to the fullest. You can laze about on the beaches if that is what you like or indulge in adventure sports. Just walking through the Dr Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, the Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary or the Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary is exercise enough for staid city dwellers. From the North to the South, Goa has an amazing collection of lovely beaches. You can start with Arambol in the North or Canacona in the South and then on to Marmago before arriving in Panjim for a taste of city life and Goa’s delectable cuisine. A bit to the south there is Vasco da Gama and then it is Margo, Mapusa, Pernem, and Ponda. Goa is beaches and sea. Naturally, most adventure activities revolve around the sea.

Goa is full of fun stuff for everyone like honeymooners, adventure lovers, kids & nature lovers. Here are some places where you can make your Goa holiday trip memorable-

50 km from Panaji to the North and is a picturesque composition of cliffs, sand, and coconut trees, not crowded like Baga or Calangute, and best of all it has a calm freshwater lagoon. Here you can go out boating, watch dolphins at play and use the cliffs to take off on a parasailing flight. At night the lagoon is the scene of parties.

Canacona Beach

is home to Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary with a plethora of boars, gaur, gazelle, tigers, and leopards. It would take you quite a while to traverse all of its 86 sq. km. area. Pololem beach is easily accessible and you can go windsurfing or water skiing here. For most tourists, watching dolphins cavort is a pleasurable activity at Cavelossim Beach. Here in Agonda Beach you can camp outside at night and go trekking in the hills or enjoy water sports.

If you do not have much time simply fly into Panaji and go on to Miramar, Dona Paula or Calangute in close proximity to each other A variety of water sports and beach activities are available here, organized by local service providers for a small fee.

Vasco da Gama is another attractive location for water sports, just 40 km from Panaji. Here you can visit Bogmalo, Colva, Majorda and Hollant beaches. These beaches are crowded but, at the same time, you will find more options for water sports such as water surfing, skiing, and scooting.

If you are into scuba diving then you can make a beeline to the Pigeon Islands, St George’s Island, or Devagh Island. If you are new to this then Bogmalo is a better option to start learning.

For parasailing the best locations are Candolim, Miramar, Calangute, and the Grande and Bait islands as well as Arambol in the North. You do not have to buy any gear; local agencies provide trainers and outfits for an exhilarating flight.

Colva, Calangute, Miramar, Mobor, Candolim,
and Rajbaga are the beaches where jet skiing is quite popular as there are agencies providing equipment and instructors.

Water skiing is best enjoyed at Rajbaga, Mobor, Arossim, Calangute, and Candolim. You get boards, sail, mast, and mast base on rentals here.

Windsurfing is available at Dona Paula, Baga, Vagator, Pololem, Colva, and Calangute. January to March is the best time and you get boards and other gear on rentals.

Head to Chapora and board a boat that will take you off the coast for some deep-sea fishing but be sure to get a fishing permit. You could come up with some big, big catches if you are lucky.
